Default Gear Advice for My 6 Year Old Daughter

I'm taking my daughter on her first snowboard trip in 3 weeks.

She'll be taking the 5-6 year old ride lessons (at Breckenridge).

I've been riding for a while so I know what gear I should be considering.

I've bought pants and a jacket on eBay (why pay retail when she won't be able to wear it again next year). I'll buy the base layer and a mid layer before we go. Socks too.

We'll rent helmet and boots.

My questions are as follows:

1. Gloves or Mittens?
2. Goggles? Sounds like a good idea but that'a another thing for her to fidget with. On the other hand she wears sunglasses often.
3. Wrist pads? At her age (and 44 lbs), is she likely to hurt her wrists?
4. Any other gear I'm overlooking?
5. Any other non-gear advice?

And does anybody west of Albany care who'll win the Suberbowl this year?
