How was your weekend? Get any riding in?

You know, that very
issue was raised a couple times last week. Right now my board is a directional twin, 163W
. I'm set up with my stance between 20-21 inches. I'm centered on the boards binding marks, but that puts me with about a 2 inch set back! (My Arbor Roundhouse is really meant to be a "Powder" board!)
My bindings are set up "ducked" @ +18 front -12 rear
. Last year & early this season, I had them set @ +21 front, -9 rear
. I rode with them set like that until just a few weeks ago. I tried
a wider stance early last year, but had some knee pain in my back leg when I did. Granted, at that
time I still had my binding angles @ that +21/-9 setting.
I've been thinking about widening my stance a bit, especially since hearing that very observation several times recently. With my current less severe, more ducked binding angles, that knee pain might not
be an issue anymore!
Truth be told, it's only been this
season that I have been riding well enough
to be able to judge what, if any
differences any small changes were having in how I felt on the board! Last year, I tried a number of small & radical changes in settings & whatnot, but unless a change resulted in Pain or a really, Really BAD
board feel or response,.. It was hard for me to judge the effect of most of those changes. My riding sucked no matter what my settings!!
That's another reason why I would really like to get with a couple of seasoned riders for a few runs to help me judge those kinds of things.
So,... after another LONG
ramble,.. whattaya think??
