Even when they have good snow years, these hills usually close due to lack of turnout, not due to lack of snow. If they are open beyond this weekend, I think it will only be due to St. Patrick's Day happening on the following Saturday.

On a positive note, that foot of snow that dropped all over NW Michigan was good base-building snow that will allow all these places to stay open through their scheduled closing dates in early April, I won't be able to take advantage of it but hopefully some of you guys can.

I'm thinking about day-tripping to Cannonsburg on Saturday. If PK is open I might ride there Thursday night but probably shouldn't...
