Recycled from a previous post:

Hertel Hot Sauce - fastest hydro wax I've used. I routinely out-glide my buddies (some who ski) on flats and it really helps in deep pow... experience verified at Stevens Pass and Revelstoke in 40+ cm days. On the ice coast when hard riding, I do get more wear down the edges on ice/man-made/corn surface, so I use a harder cold temp wax (using either straight Paraffin or RaceWax cold temp) on the outer 2" or so by the edges, like so:

The only downside I have with Hertel is this:

That's a supposed 12oz. brick that actually weighed 10.5oz. I bitched and they sent me three 1oz. bars of Hot Sauce and 1oz. of their race wax as an apology. They either need to stop whipping air into their wax, or they need to start selling at actual weight, not saying it's "3/4lb." Anyway, $21 for a big brick is really cheap for such a good product.

FYI, if you are interested, search for patent# 5,114,482 dated 5/19/1992. It's got some uber surfactants and stuff in it.
