Nope, never been there.... But I do have backcountry knowledge and experience and quite simply someone like you has no business out there until you take a class, read books, learn how to use the gear, learn what to stay away from, and get friends that already know what they're doing. If you go into uncontrolled areas having just bought avy gear before your trip then I'm sorry but you're just an idiot.
Stay away from it kid.... It's not for you... Especially not this season. Far too many have died already.
You don't just run out and buy gear and go ride backcountry.
