"Talisker Land Holdings, LLC" actually owns the land the lifts are on. The agreement made back in the 70's obviously has outgrown itself.
They know park city makes a ton of money and talisker wants more in a form of higher rent..
so what do you do..you terminate the agreement and re-structure one
this will settle out of court. Park city will stay open talisker will get more money...it will all work out
its the same thing with indian land suits and casinos
Pretty much this. Lease termination dates are pretty straightforward. Don't know how they've managed to fuck it up so I imagine it's going to be quite one sided. I can see Talisker pulling out some legal loophole however (and there a thousands when it comes to land law unfortunately).
