I wonder where the skiers were when they lost control....for example, were they at the trail edge in the soft snow pushed out there from all the traffic, or did they blow an edge center trail and go careening off into the woods coming around a corner?

when I see people hugging the trail edge I think nothing good is going to happen if they catch an edge. And I cringe on some of the hairpin turns out there, even on the "toll road" type cruisers in New England.
