I am currently on the "ice coast" but make a few pilgramages west each season to my old stomping grounds (Snowbowl in Missoula, MT being #1) . I have been riding a 169ish Burton Supermodel for the past 6 or 7 seasons and is is tuckered out, worn out and ready to be made into a shelf.

My wife has given me the green light to pick up a late season deal. Looking for something that I can ride fast, carve but don't have to be on my game all the time as I'm soon to be 40 and... well you know

Here are my current choices in order of preferance:
1) 163 Ride Highlife -
2) 162 Burton Custom X
3) 161 DH2 Wide

Please help with feedback on these and other boards.

If you like powder, then the highlife is probably the best choice, as it has a hybrid rocker/camber design while the dh2 and custom x are mostly cambered. However, there are a lot of other boards, like the omni, that you should consider before making your decision. The highlife is a great deck, but other designs out there might suit you better. For instance, since you live in the east, something with magnetraction might be a good idea.
