I got the K2 maysis with about 15 days on them, I got 8.5 and they were a very tite fit with a smartwool light snowboard sock. They have packed out a little as I'm using a medium sock now and they are very comfortable.

The BOAs are easy to over tighten, just takes a little practice to remember the sweet spot.
