Ok if someone a change it for me that would be cool. So what's the difference? I always thought it was a dslr.
DSLR has a lens and a prism, this just has an image sensor. Technically speaking it has to do with how you preview the shot through the image finder, slr cameras gave you a true frame where all other cameras gave you a slightly different view from beside or above the lens. Digital cameras now mostly have the same view as the sensor has so the definition of what makes a DSLR better now has changed a bit. It gets defined by quality, sensor size, crop factor and accesories. But the end all definition here is no mirror = point and shoot.
