Talking Bindings which allow my feet to move

I have been snowboarding for 10 years now and have always wondered if there are bindings which will allow my feet to move slightly. When I surf, my front foot tends to come up so that the outer half of my foot is off the board and the inner (toe side) is planted in the board. I also adjust the angle of my feet while surfing and skating.
I just feel so constricted in my foot placement on the snowboard and would love bindings that allow some movement. I don't do jumps so I would think that some movement would be okay.
Also, I have seen other boarders on the slopes with binding straps that appear to just flip over the boot without requiring locking in the strap. What are these called and who makes them?
