When I lived in Phoenix, I used to drive up AZ 95 which runs along the Colorado River between Parker and Lake Havasu. There are beautiful courses all along that stretch of road but that is just about the hottest part of Arizona. I would be permanently immersed in the Colorado River not standing out on a golf course, at least not until the sun went down!!!
I was driving back from Phoenix almost exactly a year ago. It was 117F on the thermometer on my wife's van. It was hot!
But get this. I could stand that dry 117F better, than I could 90F in texas. Weird! That humidity is a killer.
