Did you actually try the BBQ in Texas? I lived in Dallas, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi for some years. They have legitimately good BBQ. But you have to remember, there are a TON of variations. I too like it sweet and tangy. But I am also a sucker for anything fruit loops sweet. But yea, a good tangy and sweet trumps the fruity ones.
Anyone like dry rubs? I'm starting to like those.
But I'd forgo any American BBQ for a good Korean BBQ Ribs. I'm obviously biased though
