You could hold him down for 5-10 minutes ?
I could barely hold mine for 5 max. Mine (Silver Trace) looked very much like yours... just a darker grey/white mix with a stunning wolf head - an ex-show dog. Shed just as bad. Do what I did... collect the hair, make a pillow.
