I'm majoring in English and Philosophy. I have a pretty background in Spanish, though. The application process isn't too rigorous. The initial applications asks a number of questions about your medical, legal, and personal background. After that, you're contacted by a regional representative who conducts an interview. If you make it past the interview, then you just wait to submit medical documents, and a legal background check. All in all, I highly suggest applying 16 months before you want to take off. I began applying in Feb.
