If the costs were comparable and everything else was equal it'd be a no-brainer. As it is, I'm looking at about $800 at Seymour vs about $1200 at Cypress for the family. And that's with the Silver pass, which has restrictions that I'd consider unacceptable. For the Gold, it's about $2000 vs $800. On top of which I take transit to Seymour quite often, and the "shuttle" to Cypress costs $23 round trip vs $10 round trip for Seymour (although I usually get a "season's pass" so it works out quite a bit less than that).
Anyway, the point is that for an individual it's maybe worth jumping on, but not for a family.
