Well that's unfortunate, you fall into a shitty category.
I didn't take the family thing into consideration.

Cypress should have a better deal than that for family's, but I guess that would contradict the corporate thing.

How old are your kids & how good are they ability wise?
If they're really young, I'd agree with ya, not worth it.

Snowboarding is not cheap, you know it's going to cost lots.
I'm sure one trip to Whistler costs more than that $400 bucks.

For what you get @ Cypress, that $400 divided up by 4 people.
In terms of value not actual dollars cause I'm sure you get dinged the same.

Think of it in terms of mileage.
2,010 feet (1,730 continuous vertical)
Cypress Mountain - BC, CAN
1,150 feet (some poling required to ski entire vertical)
Mt Seymour - Vancouver, BC, CAN

You are going to get way way more actual snowboarding in.
Every one day @ Cypress equals two days @ Seymour.
Take into consideration the 2 high speed chairs as well as 2 other 4 person chairs. I think that would definitely be worth it.

You may not see it now, but I bet you would if you did.
I also think if you did you would never go back to Seymour. Ever.

Hold off on buying the Seymour one for a little bit.
I think as more people read this, they will also try & sway your decision.
Were all your side & just lookin' out for ya.

If whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger.

Then I am so close to immortality
