I hope so too!
What I meant was that the name "god" is useless without a framework (whether organized or a belief in your own head) of his wants/needs/rules etc. which should be followed.
I was feeling much more philosophical last night so pardon my abrupt english this morning, but believing in a god means you believe in the general concept that the religions are based on. I understand what tylerkat and snowklinger are saying, that you can believe in god without participating in current religious practises, but it's believing in the the overall framework that is integral to believing in god in the first place.
