I lived in Clearwater FL for about 4 or 5 years and yeah the "hurricane parties" do happen

In all seriousness, having been through a few hurricanes, this storm is pretty major. Even here in NE Ohio (summit county) there's a lot of trees down, and bad enough wind gusts they are tellings cars and trucks to stay off the roads. I just did a 30 minute drive from work to home and had to go around downed trees twice.
Least the surfers on Lake Erie are stoked:
