So I have some ride deltas I was riding on my blacklist last year and wanted something a little stiffer. So I was looking around my local shop and saw the Now IPO and Flux TT30. All they had left was mediums so I had to order some larges in each binding but I am the new owner or both in white. Cant wait to try them both out on the blacklist and my SL as well. Only problem I saw with both of them is I love the cant on rides and they do not have any. Almost went with the malavitas but the Now and Flux had way more sex appeal, if a bindings can have such a thing. Wondering besides BA if anyone has ridden these combos before?
Bindings came in today cant wait to try them on the hill here is some gear porn for you.
i've ridden the NOW bindings with the Coda and Westmark, TRice, Jones Mt Twin, Evo, SL, Yes Boobs, and maybe one or two more boards I can't remember right now. I've ridden the Flux DMCC lights with the Arbor and Lib boards also but not the Titans. I really liked the Flux. The DMCC's were so comfortable and such an easy fit- very sweet bindings.
But the NOW binders are what I'll be on for the upcoming season. I absolutely did not want to strap into anything else after riding them. They're a departure from most other bindings on the market so you should demo them if you can. For me, they are not a binding you match up to any particular board since they do their own thing regardless of the board. In a nutshell- they're just fun.
I ride the the titans on my Evo. Love the bindings, only thing I can really say I don't like about them is the hard foot bed. Straps on them are comfy and never had a problem with the ratchets.
Thanks for the responses, I love to pop and hit everything on the mtn so this sounds like the binding for me. Wish they had the hinge for burton reFlex bindings not just EST so I could compare.
I rode the NOW on my Blacklist yesterday but it was just a rail jam so I can't quite speak to them, performance-wise. They are damn comfortable though. Also worth noting, I previously used the 2011 Ride Deltas on the Blacklist.
Yea, I know I said I wanted something stiffer I was looking at some phantoms or the sf45 but they maybe to stiff, I really just need something a touch stiffer. Also pictures are uploaded now.
Don't quote me on this but I think someone has suggested you could kinda sorta simulate the canting on the NOWs if you use firm bushings on the outside and softer bushings on the inside.
I don't think it would be the same as a true cant but I can see how it *might* help a little bit.
Maybe checkout the Salomon Hologram too. It's got the same 45% blend as the SF45 but with the shadow fit tech you should have some nice lateral flex too.
