Yeah I'm to the point where i am pretty fast and very confident. This will be my 5th week long trip there. What's your/y'alls opinion on the salomon ace vs the rossignol taipan? I found both for $200 or less online right now. The taipan seems like a higher quality board but it is a hybrid (rocker-camber-rocker). I definitely don't want to lose speed, stability, or edge hold at high speed by going with a hybrid. But gives the taipan great a review all over and scored better in almost every way than the salomon. I doubt I would be disappointed with either.
