It's funny, I checked a map & I was closer to Mammoth when I lived in sunny SoCal than I was when I was living in NoCal. (
6 hr drive from OC. vs. 9-9 1/2 hrs. from Eureka CA. )
I'm still hoping I can put together a trip to Big Sky for my vacation in Jan. or Feb. If not,.. I'll just have to make do with a few extra trips to northern MI and what passes for a mountain here.
