I think that most snowboard locks are overpriced junk, and I've read a few posts where the owner forgot the combo and just ripped it off by breaking the plastic lock body. I use a 5' bicycle cable lock: 3/16" plastic coated SS cable, and a metal, 4 digit tumbler combo lock. It doesn't weigh much, coils up in my backpack, and is long enough to lock two boards if they are racked bindings facing each other. Deterrent value alone makes it worth carrying.
