You didn't say whether you are in a pillowy-soft powder area or in the East, but either way you might appreciate some padded shorts to protect your tailbone. You'll fall and either bang your head or your butt and when you don't land on those it will be your wrists or knees. You might even want knee pads.

Sounds like a lot? The less it hurts, the more confidence you get and the faster you will progress, which is essential when you're first starting out.

As for detuning, it depends on the board -- camber you can do like in the vids if you want, rocker or otherwise - no.
I have a GNU Carbon Credit BTX I think the 2011 version.
GNU Carbon Credit Series BTX 2011 Snowboard Review

its 165cm wide " size 13 shoes" -

I will be snowboarding in colorado "wolf creek", or maybe taos new mexico..

my board is banana traction ? I cant remember the bend or camber of the board.

Im going to order the helmets / wrist guards tomorrow. I should get the butt pads, mainly because i literally have no ass at all, but my wife has a nice big bum, so she will be ok . HAHA
