That is a very strange concept for me to try to follow. I know that it is very easy to re-injure my ankle. I guess my problem is that I am a very balls to the wall kind of person. I am not sure that I can keep myself from hitting the park or searching out chutes and cliffs.

Have any of you ever had to take it super easy even though you didn't want to? How does one keep themselves from listening to that evil little devil that tells you "it will be fine just do it"?

Dude I was in same boat last year. I live for snowboarding. I broke my ankle end of august last year wakeboarding. i thought my season was shot. 12 weeks later i strapped up for my annual thanksgiving trip stressed out not knowing what to expect. I bought every brace known on the market and turned out taping it and the firmness of the boot felt best (the boots actually offer hella support). I rode every day just fine. I did take it easy no jumping just cruising and having fun with friends and family since I usually just bomb the hill and wait for them at the bottom. First trip went good had to ice it every night. It ached here and there but nothing unbearable. I got 28 days in (from Oklahoma) and got stronger and stronger and actually broke all my last year records, progress, etc. (hit 63 mph landed my first 360 and ride switch almost as comfortable as regular).

Ice, hot tub, and good ol PBR helped me through it. You'll be fine but yea take it easy and don't push it. You'll be shredding 99% by end of season.
