Shames Mountain

Shames Mountain this AM. One cat track up the mountain, 3' plus of unpacked shit to bury yourself in everywhere else. Maybe 6" of fresh pow to top it all off.

Sound great right? Wrong, considering this is my 2nd time on a board (if you count the golf course a couple weeks back). Hiking up a blue run and strapping in on a cat track with a nice packed trail from all the skiers skinning up was awesome. No room to turn without hitting the deep stuff and too much speed for my comfort if I stayed on the track.

It was basically bomb straight, panic, lean back, rag doll or bomb, veer off track, face plant (can't breath), buried to the waste, unstrap, wade back to cat track.

Gonna hurt like a mutha tomorrow. Would have been nice had the bunny hill been groomed. Not sure if I'll make the trip again before opening day. Definately ready for some lessons.
