Some clear misunderstanding in this thread. I am not asking for Bob Vistas or anyone else's 1st Amendment rights to be violated. Rights aren't absolute. If you're a convicted felon, you can't legally own a firearm. When you're at work, you don't have freedom of speech. Well, let me rephrase that, you have freedom of speech to say what you want, but they have the right to take action if those views don't jive with the company's. Just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean their aren't repercussions.
Costa and NBC used a tragic situation to deliver a weak ass stump speech aimed at violating the rights of others. NBC allowing it to happen puts the ball in their court.
