Living in Boston has spoiled us because virtually everything we need is no more than a 10 minute walk away. Not to say that we're against living outside of a city, but we're definitely not ready to purchase a home yet and move to the suburbs.

We would be renting.

We both have cars, and we both like our cars, if that means anything.

Bottom line? We're a young, active couple. Career focused but who cherish the outdoors and our lives outside the workplace. We're looking for something new, essentially.

Hope this helps...
It's not for everybody, but look into Bend, OR.

Random question, but how is Boulder compared to Salt Lake and Durango?
IME, Boulder has a far left wing, young, weird, vibe. SLC is more conservative and family-oriented. Durango is more classic small working class mountain town. It's been years since I've spent more than a few days in any of these three cities, so take that FWIW.
