Tips for spinning TBT?

I was easily able to spin fives with my t.rice, but I broke it and took a stab into TBT with a evil twin. Iv been having a lot of trouble with getting it around to a 5, i can spin bs 3s like no ones business with all sorts of grabs super clean, but when I go for a bs 5 doing the regular hourglass take off I end up like some how doing inverted 3s and people are saying it looks like im taking off my heels but im spinning backside ? the hell?

so basicaly is there like a trick or somthing to spin on TBT it kinda feels like my edges arent giving me the power or soming ? iv heard to spin more flat based how does that work? do you still like carve or do you like take off the edge of tbt? idk really what to say but iv been going for a bs 5 for like 4 days straight... its ticking me off...
