The best thing about driving up late night is minimum traffic, unfortunately you will miss out on some beautiful views of Howe Sound.

Enjoy Whistler!!

Typically you won't get too much ice or snow on the drive up because the elevation of the ski area is WAY higher than most of your drive. If you are getting serious winter conditions on the drive up, you should thank your lucky stars because you will have some awesome conditions on the mountain.

I've driven/been driven to Whistler maybe 10 times and only remember serious snow on the road once.
