What I don't get is that you can't tell me that a jacket costs more to be shipped to Vancouver than Seattle from China. They probably come from the same ship, land at the same port, distributed by same trucks.
Two weeks ago, I went to banana republic to buy a bridge coat. Robson store charges 310$ plus tax, online at the American side 250$ no tax, plus a 40% discount code. The Fuq? Like seriously.
Again, went to the boardroom sale last week, saw a sick airblaster jacket for sale, it was down to 199$ from 400$. I though, sweet deal.
Went on dogfunk, found it for 87$.
It's not about wasting anyone's time, or service, we simply get raped. You're telling me, someone's 30 minutes of blah blah, is worth 200$. Not to me, until they lower the prices, I'm not buying local anymore.
It's a free market.
We're not supporting local shops, but personal greed.
Do you know why cars are more expensive here than in the states?
Because Canadians are "willing to pay more", that's right, no reason at all, but because we're willing. Go look it up, that was a focus group question that car makers did to base their prices.
Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
