I've been boarding/ skiing for almost 30 years and only started wearing a helmet this year. I've only had 1 bad crash in all those years (landed on my hip in the park) but I starting wearing one for my kids.
I want them to always wear a helmet so I wear one.
yeah, the "do as I say not as I do" thing doesn't work well with the young'ns. And as much as you may be willing to take chances with your own bean, if one of your kids became a vegetable because you set a bad example you'd be in hell for the rest of your life.
I told my kids, "Someday, you'll have kids of your own." One of them said, "So will you."
