Well a few things happened:
1: we kept hearing feedback from our customers that our old highbacks had too much forward lean built into them. remember we're an east coast company and snow is generally firmer here than other places. Also, we have a lot of pipe riders on our team that actually want forward lean. So forward lean makes sense, but not everyone needs it. The caliber of rider that wants it is usually knowledge able figure out how to add it.
2: The C60, if you look at it's legacy, kept getting heavier since 1996 when we first introduced the X-Base. Functionally, it's just a really stiff binding but it kept putting on pounds for extra features to compensate for geometry or for the sake of having an extra feature. B3 gel, and this and that.
so we said, fuck all that, it needs Jenny Craiged. So we argued what's important and we argued in grams. So yes it is simple, either by consolidating/integrating features into a single part or just eliminating them because this customer generally doesn't care about them feature.
I.E. Formula 1 cars doesn't have CD players in them.
