I don't park ride, but with steeps and moguls and speed, something that works for me is to focus "big" and "far", as in overall mountain vs. very small, as in what is right in front of me. "This steep is only from here to there, these moguls are tiny compared to whole hill", "this speed is nothing compared to driving a car", etc. I don't remember when or why I started doing this, but it's a trick I'm conscious of and use now, and it works for my psyche. Of course, the mountain sometimes delivers a reality check...
