I don't know what everyone is going on about about waxing their board for an hour or two. I use a metal scraper and I can get the excess wax off in 5-10 mins without damaging the board or "getting too much off". Maybe it's my east coast conditions that take the wax off in 10 runs, but I don't see missing a tiny bit if wax that you could have take off as a big deal.
