Default Help on toe-to-heel turns

So today I went riding and I was doing a little better then last time and I was able to ride regular (I'm goofy) for a while but I could only carve on my toe. But my main question was whenever I ride goofy I'm more comfortable riding on my toe side but I can ride on my heel without much problem but I have problems linking the two in one. Unless I jump from toe to heel I always catch an edge. What am I doing wrong and how could I fix this? Thanks!

Also when I was done I took my boots off and I had two bumps in a row going up my right shin. I could feel something but when I was riding it would kinda hurt and then stop. Were they too loose? Too tight? They always have been a tad big for me.
