I haven't tried it yet, but I'd really like to next summer. People I've talked to said it kills your arms, but hopefully that shouldn't be too much of an issue because I'm in a weight training and fitness class, and I rock climb a lot in the summer. I've also been participating in basic military exercises in preparation for Air Force Officer training. I'm one of the thinner guys who, when it comes to the upper body, is not quite as strong as some of the others but I do have a lot more endurance and can hold out much longer- I guess this would help when being pulled behind a boat with a rope for long periods of time.
Looks like fun!
I was a wakeboarder before I snowboarded and other than being strapped in to a board they are not very much alike. The way you distribute your weight, turn, and the overall feel(the board is shorter and fatter) is much much different. Now being comfortable being strapped to a board will translate over and make things a little easier while learning. The thing I really dislike about it is once you fall you're done. You have to sit there and wait for the boat to come around before you can get going again. With the snowboard you fall and just push yourself back up.
