I might do a trip to SLC in mid february. Doing the math, I could stay in SLC and have a rental car (even an SUV) for the same price as a shuttle and staying at one resort. My only concern is drive time to quality local resorts. We'd be there during the week (mon-fri) to avoid some crowds. Suggestions on which resorts are either closest or worth the drive from downtown? I don't mind looking up the actual reviews and info if I can just get driving distances to them. Thanks, in advance, for any info.
What type of terrain are you looking to ride?
Big mountain steeps with lots of powder? - Snowbird
Tree runs with lots of chutes and cliffs into powder? - Brighton
Inbound type backcountry? - Solitude
Park sessions with big jumps or rails? - Park City / The Canyons
Utah has everything to offer, you have 7 resorts within 30-45 minutes of downtown and another 3 within an hour.
