Hello everyone!

After lurking for a little while, I decided I really like the atmosphere here and mustered the courage to sign up - in what is record time for me on forums

I just learned to ride last week, and at 26 I feel like I've been wasting my life for not having done it earlier. Needless to say, it is already my #1 favorite activity (sharing the #1 spot with going to concerts of bands I like).

So I shall now wave excitedly to whoever is watching and be off to type a lengthy request for advice in the Boards section

I'll probably be on rentals for most of this season, but I am looking to get my own gear as soon as possible (i.e. as soon as things go on sale).
