I'm looking for some super light park bindings, with canted footbeds and good lateral flex for presses, jumps and grabs, soft to mid flex
Considering Rome 390 Boss, K2 Formulas and K2 Hurrithane
390 boss look good but they seem to be a bit solid when it comes to lateral flex with the metal baseplate and all also seem to be on heavier side compared to the k2 bindings
K2 Formulas and Hurrithanes look good just wondering how is the lateral flex on them and which would be better for hitting mid to big kickers I'm leaning towards the Formulas they are a bit stiffer might be better for landing the kickers.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and if there is any other bindings that I'm overlooking please let me known
The Mob Boss fits your specs perfectly. Lightweight, flexible, plus the option to Cant your stance, as well as your highback to match. More lateral flex than the 390 due to the polycarbonate baseplate. Same super comfortable 390 ankle strap as well.
Rockin' the Mob Bosses right now. Only one that I could think of with a canted footbed. Those are harder to find. Plenty that are lightweight and flexy. but a Combo of all three... that's a problem
the 390 bosses are heavier, the contact pro's don't have the cant...
Buy the mob bosses. You'll fall in love.
Mob Boss and K2 Hurrithane/Ride Revolt with their urethane backs seem like the perfect solutions. K2 Formula & 390 Boss are very versatile, but not at all what I'd consider a park binding (except maybe pipe).
It's between the 390 boss and mob boss, I want something lightweight but then again I want something that's super strong for the big landings, I feel like the 390 might weight a lil more but have a stronger baseplate no? Also sizing on the Mob boss M or L for a size 10 boot?
Really appreciate it I ended up getting both planning on using the 390 boss for all mountain freestyle and a sorta back up binding just in case then I snatched the Mob Boss for park feel like the extra lateral flex will really help with presses and pop also being a lil softer/ forgiving seems like the perfect lightweight binding.
Thanx again can't wait to take them out this weekend
