I think im okay then, the base is not visibly burnt or damaged. I thought maybe with the excess heat the boards flexibility and riding properties might be altered.

I did keep the iron moving though. On the last passes from nose to tail I went slowly to get a nice consistency and after that where the tail bend starts (where my board is thinnest) it was hot on the topsheet.
