Thinking of picking this jacket up -I ride mostly in the northeast and don't do too much backcountry/technical stuff but I'm a big fan of layering and need a new jacket that can handle the elements (rain included).
I am mostly riding Japan (Niseko) with occasional trips to other places around the world (Tahoe this winter, maybe Europe next year).
The dry conditions in Japan mean that I am not so concerned with waterproofing for my jacket and cannot really comment on performance in rain, etc. Breathability was more important to me as my insulated Burton Indecent Exposure jacket (which is great for basic resort riding) felt a bit lacking in that respect.
