Set back helps but riding real deep snow on a real pow board is just a different game. If you are renting at the mountain my guess they will only have a fish. If you are going to dig around there are lots of options in the market.

The charlie rides more like a freeride board with extra float. The flat profile makes it a little slow to turn but is super stable in all conditions. My pow board is a lib snowmullet and it turns you into a hero in the deep snow, yet is soft and jibby when you are riding around. I would love to try a lib birdman, neversummer summit, smokin pinner. Taper and rocker does work.
