At the end of this month the travel starts. From Sweden to Salt Lake City with our main purpose is to ride as much powder as we can in 8 days.
I am not really sure what to expect: 3 feet of pure untouched champagne powder or 4 inches of thick snow with lots of tracks.
But the question is "Do I have the proper gear?".
Since we seldom have dumps of snow back home I havn't tried my latest setup in deep snow.
My weight is 140 lbs and I am 5'7" tall.
- Nitro Team Gullwing, 157 with Burton Cartel bindings. My all mountain setup. Purchased last year.
- Salomon Drift Rocker, 148 with Salomon Rhythm. My park setup. Purchased this year.
My guess is I have to set my stance back one step or two, and perhaps lean back a bit.
What do you think: Will I float?
Yeah, like most have already said, your so small that your 157 gullwing should work fine. Set it all the way back for the deep pow and ride smart. You shouldnt waste money and buy a deep powder board for a few days, unless your super rich, your gullwing will kick ass.
