Hello from Indianapolis

Hi, I'm Steve from Indy. I've been snowboarding for ~15 years. Last year I bought my 2nd and 3rd boards, because the Rossignol one I was using was ~15 years old. I bought a 180cm Donek Razor softboot carving board first. 11-13m variable sidecut radius, this thing turns very reluctantly, but goddamn does it go fast. I bought it when I weighed 240lbs, and then went and lost 40lbs. Oops

As much fun as the Donek is on the greens and blues, it is very tough to handle (at least untill I get much better with it) on the black runs (I mean the real ones out west, not these blue runs which think they are black runs here in the midwest). So on my way back from Telluride last year I picked up an older (I don't know the year) ~160cm Burton Custom X. It is also a great board, I like it a lot. Unfortunately, being a Burton board, it has a ridiculous proprietary mounting system which does not fit my very old Flows. Not sure of their age either, just that they are quite old, probably 10+ years old. The board has the 3d system, not the channel.

So my quest on the snowboarding forum is to find a pair of base plates that will let me mount my ancient Flows to my not-quite-as-ancient-but-still-old custom x. If that isn't possible, then I will need a new pair of bindings that ideally will be able to fit both boards.

Also at some point I hope to make my old Rossignol into a chair like this:
