Yeah, I stayed with Steve and Brenda at Fairbanks Creek Lodge right there and they are really good people. One of the best bed and breakfast type places I have stayed at. I did`nt meet Troy, but really enjoyed my stay with Steve and Brenda. The breakfasts they serve in the main hall are incredible and within minutes of arrival you feel like you are in your own home. Anyone who ever gets up to Fairbanks, patronize these people`s business; so rare to get this kind of treatment in our modern world.
Tray runs the Aurorawebcam.com site. It is a place to look at live web cam images of the Aurora. Great site.

Their lodge is less than a half mile drom the ski area and is a warm, rustic place with a lot of Alaskan mining history.
Accommodations at Mt. Aurora
I am planning two trips to Alaska again this season and will get back to Fairbanks to ride and view the northern lights again for at least one of the trips and I am looking forward to it.
Also, if anyone goes there, do not miss spening an evening at Chena Hot Springs to soak in the 105 degree mineral pool. What a way to view the northern lights! after a good long soak, an incredible meal can be had there as well. It is pleasant 45 mile drive out of Fairbanks via the Chena Hot Springs Road. At night be very cautious about blind corners because the Moose are huge and as plentiful as Rabbits. Several very bad accidents happen on that road every year due to Moose, so slow down and pay attention.
