It's still gonna be stiff, it just will have less ollie pop and won't hold an edge as well. Really no advantage of going to the older model. Get a more flexible board. TRS or one of the Phoenix line if you want to stick with libs.

The Attack Banana could be a good option as well. More banana but not a full BTX. EDIT: It's not all that less stiff though...

Even the Banana magic could be an option if you want a more directional style deck. EDIT: it is not directional... my bad. It is also just as stiff as the T. Rice, or almost there, so I would remove it from your list.
