Ill probably be in Blue Sky Basin most of the day tomorrow....if you see black and blue checkered pants and the blue NS SL in my pic say whats up.
Argo do you know how often the free buses come by on weekdays? I saw somewhere on their website it varies from every 15 mins to every hour! No way im waiting an hour...at that point ill just drive out and then back in the parking garages every 2 hours hah
Depends on where you park. West vail bus should come every half hour, east vail bus comes every 20 minutes. Golf course bus(which is where free parking is tomorrow and thursday) comes every 30 minutes between 7:45 and 10:15. Free parking is at the 1610 sunburst stop.
Thank you thank you, so as long as im on the bus before 130 am it comes every 30 minutes....hmmmm looks like ill have to cut the night a little shortccasion14:
Its dumping for sure. Been riding all morning since first gondola. I think i rode up with the forum member thay had his girlfriend and two other chicks with him. Dont remember who it was. If it continues like this all night the total will be a foot or so... as it is the tracks are covered every lap i have made. Wind is riping on the nack side though ....
Damn nice, I woke up this morning to a 1" overnight total and decided to say screw it, but based on the new forecasts put up this morning, tomorrow might be the day!
Vail has been lowballing the snow totals this year for some reason. They said two but I'd say 4. Easy 3" after 330pm yesterday. I park on top of lionshead every day and there was 2" by 1130pm, snow was still falling lightly.
Alright, reports from Loveland are affirmative. If you see a guy in a yellow plaid jacket on a Charlie Slasher riding like an asshole, holla atcha boy.
I decided against going up last night, hoping that we get at least a couple more storms in Feb / March that are as good (hopefully even better) than this one was so I can use a vacation day.
6" since 2:30 yesterday and Vail reported 9" this morning. I'll be riding Saturday morning anyway, so I know there will be some fresh pockets still available.
Hopefully it snows next week as well, but Gratz recent comment makes that seem like it is potentially not what he thought.
Vail was amazing yesterday...visibility was horrible but thats because it was dumping literally ALL day, also kept the crowds away which was nice. Driving to and back was super sketchy though, be careful if your heading up.
I only took a couple pics yesterday cuz the visibility was so low but Ill put them up later
Visibility was fine. Just came home to chill and eat before work. 4 hours was plenty of fun.... Snow is still falling and doesn't appear to be stopping any time soon. There will be fresh stashes for days to come.... Today would have been a food sick day though.... Mountain was relatively empty. Only line was once at the lonshead gondola and a 90 second wait at chair 4.... 10 and 11 were totally empty.... Backside was empty....
Going to head to Vail Saturday morning. Will probably get there around 7:30 and catch the first gondola. Where should I head first to catch some fresh lines that haven't been tracked out over these few days?
