*NO LONGER*Want to live/work in a resort. Thanks!

Hey guys/gals, looking for advice if you work at or have in the past worked for a major resort ex. Stratton, Vail, Mammoth, Tahoe, etc. etc.

I'm really interested in working for a resort - in just about any capacity.
I've heard its a great life experience regardless but if you're into riding/skiiing I can imagine its that much more awesome.

Any tips on how to get in with some good resorts?

What do they look for in an employee? Previous experience? Skills?

Best times/ways to apply? (obviously for this winter((if you can call it winter)) I'm late) but I'm not opposed to working in the spring/summer to get the clout and experience to be worthy of next winter.

How'd you deal with housing?

A lot of Russian people ski/ride in the east where I live so I'm guessing being fluent could help

This is a pretty thick topic I I'll take straight-up answers or just your own experiences and stories. I'm sure I'm not the only one interested. I'm an intermediate snowboarder - started last year - but I've been progressing and I really want to get better.

Thanks in advance!
