Definitely someone our size and skill level could ride a 159... BUTTT the 156 for me is nearly PERFECT... soooo quick with turn initiation and yet super stable charging through chunder. I do have a pure pow board for snorkel days so if you're going for a single board 'quiver' you could be fine on the 159.
